Reclaim the Night is an annual global event on the last Friday of the month in October. It’s a peaceful protest that advocates for the right for women to move freely through public spaces at night without fear of violence.
This year, the Coalition Against Violence and Abuse (CAVA) has organised a Blue Mountains March at Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub, Springwood from 3 – 7pm. There will be pre-rally activities from 3pm, including banner & badge making. The Rally activities will start at 5pm, and will include performances from local groups including Shimmy Mob and Hands Heart & Feet, and a march down Macquarie Road.
