Reclaim the Night is an annual global event on the last Friday of the month in October. It’s a peaceful protest that advocates for the right for women to move freely through public spaces at night without fear of violence.
This year, the Coalition Against Violence and Abuse (CAVA) has organised a Blue Mountains March at Springwood Town Square, Macquarie Street Springwood on the 25 October from 5.30 – 7.30pm. There will be banner & badge making, performances by local groups such as Hands Heart & Feet, local speakers, and a march down Macquarie Street.
This event is open to all. We’d love if you could come along! You can find an article about last year’s march in the Blue Mountains Gazette here
